GFAS Hourly tools

We need to integrate the GFAS hourly tools into the HERMES framework.

To achieve that we can split this activity into this phases:

Codification

• Get familiar with GFAS hourly tools usages
• Improve documentation
  • Code documentation
  • Wiki explaining how to use it
• Improve the code
  • To explore: crop
  • Add hourly to daily (create a single time step daily GFAS NetCDF using the hourly ones)
• Integrate in HERMES_GR as entry points.
• Participate in the integration of the GFAS tools into the workflow

Evaluation

• Run HERMES_GR (alone)
• Run Auto-MONARCH: To see what experiment we can use but I suggest CAMS2_40.
  • Base case scenario (current)
  • As many experiments as testing options (to see when it arrives)
• Evaluate with PROVIDENTIA previous auto-MONARCH experiments with the help of AC-DAFA or WG-Operationals
