Consider input list names for 'target_dims' and 'margins'

The same change discussed in #17 (closed) and !34 (merged), but for margins and target_dims.

FYI @cdelgado I thought it made sense to include this as well, as margins and target_dims were also reliant on order while ignoring list names.
